My expansion pack cats and dogs won’t show up as downloaded and more

So I downloaded the expansion and played it in the game for a long time. Then today as I was about to play the game again I saw that it isn’t showing cats and dogs as downloaded. Also there is a glitch. If I click on the download and then play button. It wont open up and show error. In the gameplay when I ask my sim to interract with stray dogs, he wont do it at all.

No matter how many times I click on play the game wont open at all. Thats the error.

Do you have any mods or CC (custom content)? Try taking that out.

No mod or cc. I removed them long time back since they wouldn’t working with city living expansion. I tried repairing my game as well however nothing happens

Could you try clearing the cache files?
