I recently got a new computer and tried to play sims. Sims 4 works perfectly, but the Sims 3 wont even launch. Every time I try to launch it, I get a pop up saying the app needs a certain windows feature to run. But, it wont let me download it, its all grayed out. The only option I have is to skip it, but if I do, I cant play. I have an attachment too. Also, I have the ASUS VivoBook 17, I'm not sure on all the specs, I'll try to find them out.

@eryn-torrey The first guess is that you're missing .NET Framework 3.5, or you have a corrupted installation. Hit Windows key-R and enter "appwiz.cpl" without quotes. In the window that opens, click "Turn Windows features on and off," and you'll see something like this:
.NET Framework 3.5 is right at the top (in blue). If the box next to it isn't filled in, click it, and Windows should download and install it. If it's already filled in, you can uncheck and recheck it. If that doesn't help, run Microsoft's .NET repair tool:

(It does work in Windows 10, even though it's not listed.)
If this doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach the results to a post.
