My Sims 4 won't stop saving!

I play sims 4 on my laptop. I just did sooo much in my game just to realize it's been saving for over 3 hours now and still saving.. I'm kind of getting really pissy too because this is not the first time. Because it's doing this am I not going to be able to continue where I saved at just a few hours ago or when I restart my laptop is it not going to be saved and is there a way to make this stop happening?
