My Sims 4 game won't start

No matter how much I click it or wait for it Sims 4 won't start for me. The mouse says its loading but then it just stops after a minute or so. I tried waiting like an hour but it still wouldn't start. I looked in the Task Manager and it says the process is running, so why can't I play the game? My brother is a techie and he fiddled with it for an hour or two and even he couldnt get it to work. He got it up on his computer though, which is a lot older and low tech than mine.
