My Sims 4 Mods Won't Work!

My mods on the sims won't work except for an extremely basic one that allows all cheats to work and a CAS background. I'm not that experienced with the game yet since I've only had it since Christmas 2018 (Posted on January 11th, 2019) and I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong, but if somebody could please explain this or send a YouTube video link that would help so much.

Move your mods folder to desktop , turn on the game and let the game create new mods folder. Copy and paste mods from desktop to this new folder. It worked for several people.
