My Sims 3 university life doesnt work and it says Sims 3 not found but i have it

i bought sims 3 university life yeasterday and when i tried install it "sims 3 not found" but i have it.I put the code to origin and it said sims 3 university life registered. I CANT PLAY IT!!!! what is the problem?
