Murphy bed and sims resetting.

[ Edited ]
★★★★★ Novice

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.60.54.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? ? All expansions, stuff packs and game packs. I do have mods, but removed them upon this issue first being presented. It still occurs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Sit on one of the murphy beds.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim sits on the edge of the murphy bed. When she/he tries to interact with another sim, or merely sits there for a few seconds, the murphy bed resets and so does the sim being played.
What do you expect to see? I expect that the sims can sit on the murphy bed without any issue.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I'll apologise now for any double/triple posting. I was having problems with the website not going through with the loading/submitting of the bugs.

Sometimes, but not always. I do have MCCC mod installed which tells me when a last exception has been created. However, for the most part, the game just resets the bed and my sims with no L.E's as a result. I tested with no mods at all, and it still did the same thing.

Hi @Raenkri

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Would be good if you could add the LE to your post.

Either create a .rar file and upload that or c/p the content of the file to your post (please use spoiler tags)

Good Luck

Hi,

Yeah, I'm still having resets though its not as often. Hopefully it'll fix itself in the next couple of patches.

At least, for now, its barely noticeable. Its just irritating now and then

Thanks
