More Broken Mods?

★ Guide

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.52.100.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Too lazy to list them right now
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim cook a meal
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim will start preparing a meal only to have the cue circle fill up almost immediately and the Sim will stop cooking. I tried making the Sim continue but it's just an endless loop of the cue cancelling itself out making cooking anything impossible.
What do you expect to see? Sims should be able to prepare any meal normally.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The June patch.

I'm a heavy mod user so almost always a bug is more than likely a broken/outdated mod. Sure enough, I restarted my game by "Nuking" all my mods and sure enough, the problem was non existent. I'm sure not to many people like having to scour their mods for the offending one.

Be sure nothing is blocking access to the counter or stove.
But I had a similar issue one time, after patch - resetting the sim solved it and this issue never occurred again.
Try to reset this sim. Take him to CAS or travel to another lot. You can also use it advice

I don't work for EA

I think you misunderstood; the problem was not my Sim getting stuck but giving my Sim a command and it almost always immediately cancelling itself out. I already tested it without mods and clearly determined that the "bug" was caused by a broken/outdated mod. If only there was a mod/program that makes finding offending mods easier/quicker. If there is, someone please point the way!

Unfortunately, there is no easier way than this one below.
Move the mods folder to the desktop.
Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game - important!
Fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if a game is working now without mods and CC.
Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if the game is OK. Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)
You need to find a culprit and either remove it or replace it with an updated version
