please don't laugh, but im hoping its just cause im that frustrated and not dumb, but what do you mean the 'origin client'?i downloaded a boatload of expansion packs, extras and worlds. All showed up on my bill so I know that went through. Unfortunately, my worlds haven't shown up anywhere. And im not sure what to do

The Origin client is the program called Origin you download to your computer.
Store Worlds show in your purchase history on thesims3.com, not on Origin

I am having the same issue except the game is not appearing anywhere in the cient and I have tried logging in and out and refreshing. When I click on Sims 3 icon to play I am being prompted to enter the product code which I do not have. I then read Ineeded to register the game with Sims 3 online for the product code but I have no serial number from Origin to register the game. Please help!

If you bought on Origin, it should show in myGames on the client.
If it doesn't, get in touch with a customer support game advisor

Just to reiterate what others have said, thanks so much for posting your solution!
I never received an email from EA for my game purchase, and when I made the purchase I was so tired that I just closed out of the webpage without thinking to jot down the code. With EA game advisors on holiday for the Christmas/New Year period I thought I might not get the chance to play my shiny new game through the break!
