Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@76659998 It is possible that the save is broken for good.

Did it work on a fresh save with nothing in ?

The Sims 4 not working after:

-Deleting all mods

-Doing a backup folder

-Doing a full system reset

-Repairing game

-Deleting the cache file

I literally don't know what else to do. I don't want to uninstall the sims 4 because it said it may uninstall the expansions I've paid for don't want to lose all my expansions and stuff packs. The error that comes up is140:645fba83:8cd8365e. The mod error, even with no mods added.

Please Help!!

@SimmerStruggles  I've merged your post with the master thread for this error.

Is it possible that you have multiple Sims 4 user data folders, and you removed your mods from the one the game isn't currently using?  Here's how to find out:

https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

And just to clarify, did you add any content into your Sims 4 folder after you reset it?  A corrupt save might still be corrupt even after removing mods.

By the way, if you did uninstall the game, you wouldn't lose access to your packs.  They're all owned by your account, and you have the right to reinstall them, along with the base game, as many times as you want.
