[MAC] Stuck on 206 [ Edited ]

Every time I open "The Sims 3," it says there is an update available, and when I click it, it says "Please ReInstall." Now when I try to reinstall, my game gets stuck at file 206/237 with 12 minutes to go. I have successfully installed the Sims several times before. I am using a 10.6.8 Mac.

It is odd that it is telling you to reinstall - are you using Origin?

Then reinstall the base game and patch it right up to date - patch 1.63. If you can't get the update to work via the Launcher then use the manual patch: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/549552.page

Then install any expansions in order of release date.
