[MAC] Sims 3 Launcher is not opening! [ Edited ]

Hello,

I have had The Sims 3 on my computer for about a year now. I uninstalled in about 3 months ago because it was taking too much space up. I just redownloaded the game from the Origin Application and I successfully was able to install The Sims 3 on my computer. When I click on either play (in Origin) or on the Sims icon, a message shows up that an unknown error has occurred. Can anyone help. I am using a MacBook Air with the latest OS X Yosemite.

Please be sure that your game is updated to the latest version. Latest is 1.67
