Losing 10GB of space after failing to install the Sims 4?

★★★ Newbie

Hi there,

I bought the game a few years ago but uninstalled it when I didn't have enough disk space to house it. I decided that I would reinstall it today because I have nothing to do in quarantine, but like before I didn't have enough disk space so the download failed. I then cancelled the download and deleted what I thought was all the software from my PC (going into Program Files, the registry etc.) but I seem to have lost disk space into the ether. I remember having around 25GB of free space before and now I only have 15GB.

Does anyone have any idea where all this space has gone? Thanks!

@theGeekProjects  It's probably in the Origin DownloadCache, where game data downloads before it's installed.  While you're looking, you can clear the other Origin cache files too:

If this isn't the issue, let me know—there are other ways to look too.
