Hi,
As you know, we just had another update to The Sims 4. Since then, I have been unable to play the game. The picture below will show you that according to the launcher, the download is complete, however in the place where it usually says "PLAY" it still says "downloading". I have tried restarting my PC and it persists. Is there a way around this? Does anyone else have a similar issue?
I have no custom content or mods installed.

@Riverleigh Try clearing the Desktop App's cache:

If that doesn't help, try launching the game through Origin. If you can't, repair it instead: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. The Desktop App doesn't have this function yet.
