Large desks in Public Area

I need help getting rid of these desks....

I have tried to set them as head again and that basically led to more. Not incredibly tech savvy, so hopefully someone can walk me through the process. I also tried freebuild mode and that didn't work...

Simply load a game prior to you placing the desks there.
