Lag with wifi [ Edited ]

For roughly the last 3 months I've had this issue where having the wifi switched on on my computer makes my game severely lag, yet when I turn my PC to airplane mode, it instantly switches back to running great.

Here's what I've tried so far:

Taking out my mods folder
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
Repairing the game

Going offline in the game while still having wifi turned on

Deleting my old save files

Deleting files all files that are safe to delete

Updating my geforce driver
Buying a new wifi usb adapter

Any help appreciated.
