Knitting Expansion Crash [ Edited ]

I was playing Sims 4 and everything was fine.  Decided to buy and download the Nifty Knitting Expansion and now the game continues to crash and cause my PC to go into blue screen, restart and I can't play it at all.  Really frustrating.  I've tried it multiple times to no avail.
