July 2020 Update won’t download

so basically, every time i go to download the new update, it takes me to the origin website then starts to update, but like 10 seconds later when it starts to verify game files my computer crashes and takes me back to the home screen. i have tried to download this update about 10 times now. i recently bought the get famous pack, so is it a glitch from just having a new expansion? please help me resolve this, i love playing the sims 4 so much and it’s been frustrating trying to download this update. thank you!

@scargerv  Try updating from within the Origin app.  Sign in, open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Update.  If that doesn't work, right-click and select Repair, then try updating the same way.

If that doesn't work either, clear Origin's cache, restart your computer, and repeat the above.
