Is it possible to buy sims 3 starter pack on origin and buy EPs on steam?

I've play sims 4 for times and I want to play sims 3.But I saw origin has starter pack which includes late night EP, but steam will have a small chance on sale with EPs. I'm worried about can steam and origin work together in this way?

@fantuanss  If you buy Sims 3 packs through Steam, you can register them in Origin, and they'll appear in your Origin game library just as if you'd bought them from Steam.  But it doesn't work the other way around: if you buy packs in Origin, you won't be able to use them in Steam.  Disc copies don't work in Steam either.
