Invited sims can’t get out of house

After my sim's birthday party finished, there was still two people left in my house. So then I was like ok they'll leave when they want too. So then in the morning they were still there. They always had this sign over their head that means there is an object in their way or they cant access something. I figured out they really wanted to leave but couldn't. At first I thought it was the front door's problem. So I sold it and bought one but one of the two sims who couldn't leave made it out but cam back in (and I was like noooooo). After he couldn't get out again. So then I made my sim use the front door and she was able to. I think its a problem with the two invited sims and not the door's problem.
Plz help because I dont want them to die of hunger in my house (oh gosh no).

The next time this happens, you can try resetting the sims using the cheat, "resetsim Name of Sim You Want to Send Back Home"
