Into the future changing the future

Hi

I have changed the future in my game but unfortunately when I try to travel to the changed future my Sims disappear so I can't do anything. This happens with both disutopia and utopia I was wondering if this a a glitch that will be fixed with a future patch, if anyone else if having a similar problem or if it is just me.

I have tried clearing the cashes to no avail however my RAM is in desperate need of an upgrade so wondering if this could be the problem for the error. Anyway if anyone has any suggestions or fixes please let me know.
