Installations not appearing in launcher

★★★★★ Newbie

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to play the Sims 3 late night. It appears in the origin launcher as installed yet when I play the sims 3 it doesn't appear in my list of expansion packs. I've made sure I'm logged in in the launcher so that's not it. Anyone else have this problem?

@SparkMaster360  Being signed into the launcher has nothing to do with it.  Try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.  If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache, and if that doesn't help either, uninstall "the hard way" and reinstall.

If none of this makes a difference, it's possible that your pack has been blocked or deactivated.  This can happen to players who've registered packs tied to what turn out to be bad product keys, for example if the keys were originally lost or stolen.  (This is the risk of buying content from an unauthorized third-party retailer.)

In this case, there's nothing you can do to solve the problem on your own.  You'll need to contact EA customer support and specifically ask about the status of your pack, not just whether it's on your account but whether it's still active.  If it's been blocked, you can ask the support rep to remove it so you can repurchase.
