I didn't buy my Sims 4 game from Origin. Everytime I try to install it says the game release date hasn't come yet. But the release date was yesterday?

@mbengivenga Hi,

From which retailer did you buy the game? In which region are you located?

Cheers,

Nils

@LemonDialectic Hi,

Can you check whether the TS4.exe (or any other programs) crashed around the time when you tried?

You should be able to look into it by checking your reliability monitor following the steps below:

1. Press Win+R to open the run box
2. Type perfmon /rel to open the reliability monitor.

This opens a window where you can click on the error's visually shown (white X in red circle) to find the latest one related to The Sims 4. Click show details and then paste the info that is listed in there in here.

Cheers,

Nils

Hi, When i run autorun.exe it comes up saying "Steps to install The Sims 4"

It says press continue, sign in to origin then install sims 4.

When I press continue nothing happens. There are no proccesses running which relate to sims. I have tried it with origin running and not running.

What should i do?!

The store page for Sims 4 lists several different supported languages, including "English (US)". But I am not given any option to select what language I want, neither during installation or in game. The game is stuck in Swedish, and the translation is to put it mildly; horrible.

Is this going to get fixed anytime soon or should I file for a refund?

Didn't work. Even manually replaced the .dll files. Repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Apparently, it's still missing.

Edit: This is referring to the issues with msvcp120.dll. None of the fixes posted have worked.

@Lormagoth It might be worth restarting your machine with a Clean Boot, and make sure your're on an administrator account and try the redist package again.

If the issue persists, you might want to run the system file checker to ensure there's nothing wrong with your Windows.

Other things to watch for are overzealous security software and/or any malware on your machine.
