Inability to Log in to Sims Forums

As is the case for several other people here, I have this issue and can't DM to fix it, so I'm just posting here to [a] confirm that this is still an active issue and [b] hopefully get my account DM permissions enabled.

I am also having this issue, and I think the only way to fix it might be to install Sims 3 and click somewhere on the launcher to reset the password.

I tried contacting EA Chat support but they were unable to resolve and forwarded the issue to the forum team.
