In Game/ Sims 4

Sims 4 is not exactly what I expected. My Sim is just doing things herself, like cooking, using the bathroom, and talking. I did not get this game to just build and watch her do everything herself. Is there a setting where I can manually move her without her moving around all the time? I had Sims 2 for the WII and they didn't do that. I had to actually take care of the Sims. I'm actually kind of angry about it and I just got it today.

There is an option in the option menu to turn free will off, turn it off and then you'll be able to control your Sim yourself. Should be in the gameplay bit. Sorry I'm not explaining properly but I'm not actually on the game myself at the moment and I can't remember off the top of my head where exactly the option to turn it off is. But I know your Sim will not do anything themselves if you turn it off in the options menu Standard smile

Options=>Game Options=> Autonomy (that's the first option in this menu)
Either turn this to "Off" so none of your played Sims will do a thing without you or check "Disable Autonomy For Selected Sim" right underneath the "Autonomy" selection to only disable autonomy for the sim that is currently active, so your other family members don't starve when you concentrate on your "main sim" Standard smile

Hi @KirstenSwift16,

If the advise shared in this thread from 2015 haven't helped, please open a new thread and share a little bit more about what you're seeing on your end as well as what steps you've taken to turn this off.

I'll close this thread to limit necroposting.
