Hi everyone,

Our specialist have managed to reproduce the issue, a permanent fix should be available with the next Origin update. In the meantime you can find this new build using this link, manually uninstall Origin and download it again from this URL.

This should fix the issue for most of the game.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I've uninstalled Origin and installed the new version as recommended, updated the driver for my graphic card, all to no avail. I used to be able to play the Sims 3 without any problems. Do I really need to buy a new graphic card? I have this one: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family, Intel(R) GMA 3100.

I have also deactived Origin in the game.

That chipset is not supported by the game. It doesn't fulfill the minimum requirements.

Do you have a laptop ? If so, they can't be upgraded.

Although the disable in-game Origin solution didn't work for me, I went to Control Panel-System-Hardware and disabled my Nvidia graphics card and it worked.

I am also having the same issue. I've played TS4 on this PC since release with no issues. I've disabled Origin in-game, updated graphics card drivers, manually uninstalled Origin and installed the one provided in the tread all to no avail.

Here are my system specs:
OS: Windows 8.1
Origin Version: 9.7.2.53208 - 380888
CPU: AMD FX 4300 Quad-Core
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200

Im having this trouble now, and i have already tried the above method to 'fix' it.
I was only playing this game last fortnight and it worked fine but now its giving me the cant run error

that was the first thing i did, I deactivated it for the game only, then for origin as a whole then the whole uninstall re install thingy.
I mean it could be my card but It was working last fortnight so I don't see how it could be, I know the game only runs on minimal stettings.
Im not that perturbed but its just annoying that now i cant play it because its being stupid.
