[INFO REQUEST] Can’t run with the Video Card in this System [ Edited ]

After the latest Origin Update, there seems to be an issue that people with video cards that are just fine for the game, get a Can’t run with the Video Card in this System Message on Startup.

02/04 UPDATE : A temporary fix has been found. You'll find all the details following this link.

If you have this issue, please use the Origin Error Report tool and post your OER ID in this thread. Please make sure your Origin has version 9.5.11 before doing the report. You can check your version under HELP-About.

After you've done that, try turning off Origin in Game/Origin Overlay (this is not Origin itself and you do not need to start the game to do this, just Origin). 

• Open Origin
• Click on myGames
• Right-click on the game for which you want to turn off Origin in game
• Choose game properties 
• Tick the option Disable Origin in game for this game.

thank you for this thread, I was about to cry when I tried to load Sims this morning! 

UPDATE: I turned off the in game overlay and it fixed immediately, I'd suggest trying that first!

Could you try for me if the new beta update also fixes this issue

To get Origin Beta, please follow these steps (credits: EA_Kristi)

1. Go to Origin menu (top left corner of the client), Application Settings and General
2. Tick the 'Update to the beta version when available' option
3. Exit Origin client and restart
4. Download and install the prompted update

I tried the origin beta test update but I'm still getting the same error about the video card =(

I am having this issue. My OER ID is 07f60fef8000a5c0.

UPDATE: I have just disabled Origin and the game now launches, but my saved game is not there. And I'm guessing this means that I can't download the expansion pack until I can enable Origin again?
