I'm having multiple problems

I bought The Sims 3 last night and the download finished this morning. I started the launcher and it tells me a new software update is avaliable. I attempt to download it and it gets stuck at 99% (and has continued to happen.) I serched online and and found that the update I was downloading (447287726) isn't up to date. How do i get up to date? I read to use the super patch, but how do i use it? I've also been getting a black screen whenever I start the game, will updating fix this? Thanks in advance! mileyhappy:

You just download the manual superpatch . You should be at 1.67

If your game will not start or getting black screen after patching it could be your video card. Please make sure your computer meets the system reqirements to play the game. See this link about system requirements.
