I already told that the Polish EA Help employee I had a chat with - while this link may be somewhat useful in case of buying in a fully online store, it's absolutely not helpful for people buying at local retailers. 

 

North America has Walmart or Target on the list, while all that Europe has is Amazon and GameStop... What about such big retailers as, for example, Media Markt? In Poland we also have Media Expert, RTV EURO AGD, Komputronik, x-kom... not to mention other European countries. Are we supposed to trust none?

I described my whole case in this Forum thread anyway.

 

I still didn't get any sure answer regarding those local retailers and the preorder bonus. I'm waiting for the results of your ongoing investigation without knowing if I'll even be included in its ending and fixes that you claim are gonna happen...

 

PS: Even in this thread someone that ordered the game through Amazon reported their preorder bonus missing. We don't know what you're doing "behind the curtain", for us it looks like you're ignoring our claims because we didn't order through Origin.

 

Please communicate clearly what's happening with the bonus. Are you deploying fixes for all or only selected group of players? In case those fixes won't work, will we be able to contact the support to assist us in getting the items? I understand you might not have an ETA, but for example in my situation I only have two weeks to dispute my case at the store. I can't wait forever.

As I have informed you that we are receiving the similar contacts and many of the customers are facing the same issue. However, good thing is that, this has been brought into the notice of the Game Team and they are diligently working to fix it as soon as possible. So, I would request you to wait for some time till this gets though I know nobody likes to wait but rest assured the team is actively working on it and the issue is been addressed on priority. I'm more than happy waiting if I know what I'm waiting for. Sadly, the communication is lacking and this issue is not the first one of the kind. Last year there was a similar problem with Cottage Living preorder bonus, reportedly some people still didn't get it one year later... (still, like they will ever, lol 🥲)

Unfortunately, I have the same issue. Not only did I not receive the bonus content from Cottage Living, I now have the same issue with the High School Years. I contacted the support and I was told it is pre-order content - 4 different reps responded to the same email telling the same untrue and completely false information. This is so disappointing considering all the money I spent for the whole Sims 4 franchise and when it comes to some bonus content EA is not only unable to provide any support but the Customer Service is completely in the dark and misleading which is so discouraging.

Bought the high school pack Saturday July 30th. Didn't receive any of the bonus content that was advertised. It stated pre-order or buy pack before September 8th to receive items. I'm on ps4 pro. I've debugged and searched the game for items & haven't found any of it. How long is this suppose to take to fix. I purchased this for my birthday as a early birthday list and now I'm disappointed.

UPDATE RETAIL "BOXED" VERSION

 

So i contacted shop and get this answer: "Thank you for your mail, you will also receive the DLC bonus, we are still waiting for their delivery from the distribution side. According to information from the product manager, we should be able to send them by the end of this week. Please just watch the mail, as soon as we receive them, we will send them out."

Only one thing you must check if your retailer have this deal on his page as mine. Screenshot bellow, text is in Slovak lng.

I'm still in contact with the store I ordered my box at, poked multiple points of contact and something actually seems to be happening... But I have no proper information yet, so only keeping my fingers crossed for now.

 

The store I ordered my box at had the promo picture up on their website when I placed my order on the 22nd of July. According to their helpline employee they removed it on release because they only offered it for preorders... Which is weird considering EA webiste states it's not only for preorders but for everyone registering their game before 8th September. But also they already ran out of the boxes online it seems, so maybe they just had a limited number. Who knows. They still haven't explained it to me properly yet...

@mhdrmlekoo  It seems that codes are limited per store? There is so much disinformation and chaos made by EA it seems.

Because on their website is "Redeem code for packaged Product by September 8, 2023 to receive bonus content." 

But retail stores have written that you must redeem it before 08.09.2022 !

The store replied to me via Twitter finally and they found my code! I have the content!!!! Star

 

I'll try to push them for answers as why I didn't get the code with my order, but at least I won my case today.

 

But personally for me this issue hasn't ended yet - I'm not fine with how this is handled just because my problem was resolved. And I'm not fine with many other things that has been piling up with the game recently. So I hope EA will release a proper fix that will include all the players that activated their Expansion Pack codes before the 8th of September, whether it's 2022 or 2023 (thanks for pointing that out, @Reame33)* and I will keep pushing for that. I believe we deserve at least that much.

 

* EDIT: I believe it might be "buy before the 8th of September 2022 to get the code" and the code is valid for one year, to the 8th of September 2023.
