It only allows me to select 'Create-A-Sim' - then this whole section within the actual game acts like there are dead pixels there, because I can't click on anything if it's in that part of the screen. This does not happen on my computer in or outside of any other game. Pls respond

@PsychachuSims I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section.
This problem is usually caused by having a Windows notification underneath the spot where you're trying to click. Your computer thinks you're clicking on the notification, not the game. Disable notifications while you play and see whether it makes a difference.
If it doesn't, you can try changing the resolution in Sims 4's game settings. Try toggling between fullscreen and windowed or windowed borderless modes as well.

It wasn't that. In the end, I ran into some money a few weeks after this post, got a much better computer, and the issue disappeared. It was apparently just a processing power issue, LOL. Cheers for the help, though. Nice one.
