hello!

I wanted to play my Sims 4 after updating it on June 11th 2020

Unfortunately, my Sims 4 went exactly like these screenshots and it has been 2 days already since then

I don't know how to fix it, maybe anyone can help me?

Thanks!

@myxximiaw  I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section.

Please try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

restart your computer, and repair again.  That should address the missing sims in CAS, at least.

I'm not sure what the problem is with the second screenshot, but please let me know if it's not resolved by the repair.

@Karen8891  Did you try clearing Origin's cache?  If that doesn't work, please describe what happens when you try to play.  Or, if this is an issue with Origin and not Sims 4, please post in the Origin tech section describing the problem.

I am trying to play Sims 4 on a pc. When I try to play on Origin, it ask me to download Origin. So I download it and try to run/install. I then get 2 error messages back to back saying "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found Reinstalling the program may fix this problem". The 2nd message said "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem".

I tried searching for corrupt files but didn't find any. I also reinstalled windows.

I am running Windows 10 with  8gb ram with Intel i5 3.1 ghz

I have never played on this pc. This is for my daughter

@zhaygood  The files mentioned are part of the 2015 VC++ runtimes, which Origin needs to install properly.  It's best to uninstall your current copies, if you have any, and then download new ones from Microsoft.  Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and x64 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall.  You can download new copies here. Be sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions.

Restart your computer, and try to install Origin again.  And please do download it directly from the Origin website, not from a third party or from a disc.  Here's where to get it:
