I've had the sims 4 since Christmas, and was never experiencing any problems until I wanted to install mods. Ever since I had the game installed, the game won't recognize the mods at all. I've checked the box to enable script mods but it still didn't work.
At first I had the game on my C drive but it was taking to much space, so I put it on a portable hard drive to save space (I had uninstalled it from the C drive and reinstalled it on the D drive). I've tried everything and it just doesn't work. I've did the following:
Uninstall the game
Repairing the game
Delete the resource.cfg file so the game could regenerate it (it doesn't even do that)
Generate subfolders in the Mods folder (don't work)
I was just wondering if i'm doing something wrong or is something is wrong with the game, because it's kind of starting to bother me that I can't enjoy any cc. FYI- the first mod i tried to install was for lockable doors (before the update) and the creator said the extract them from the compressed folder and place them in the mods folder. I did and nothing.
Please help! Thank You!

I am having the exact same problem! I had my game on the C drive and had to move it to my D drive instead for space. I have looked everywhere and it says the folder will regenerate if I uninstalled the game and reinstalled but nothing. I tried making a new folder and placing new mods into the folder hoping the game will acknowledge the mods but nothing is working. Can someone please help?

Making your own folder will not work. You need to use the folder the game generates. Normally located here: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
