I am having issues installing content from the exchange for my sims 3...

I am having some issues installing content from the exchange for my sims 3..they show up in the download file on the luancher but when I hit download and he goes throgh all the motions then it says "wedding dress by moore.sims3pack: installation failed. You must install the associated premium content before installing this style. dress.sims3pack: installation failed. you must install the associated premium contenct before installing this style. done!" but the thing is it does not name the associated content that i will need to install what should i do?

On that wedding dress it may simply mean the creator made that dress using a store item if you don't own that item it will fail to install. Check the items tab on the download page that'll show you if you have/own item or not
