I Think That My Game Is Not Running As Fast As It Should

Hello, I've been playing the Sims games for a really long time. The most recent game (The Sims 4) I feel is not running as smoothly as it should for me. I upgraded to a faster PC a while ago and my Sims 4 game is having frame drops at random times. I've delt with it for a while but now I just find it annoying as I feel it should be running with no problems. The reason I feel it should be running smoothly is because I can play games such as Grand Theft Auto 5 perfectly with no lag. As you can expect, I feel that if I can play that game with no issues, I should definetly be able to play a game which is not as demanding, like The Sims 4. I've tried so many things like putting my settings down to the lowest, no change. I put it on laptop mode, no change. I took my CC and Mods out, no change. I've tried taking my mods, tray and saves out and putting it onto my desktop, then deleting my game and then starting it again. Then I put the folders back in (I heard it would help when I looked on Youtube), no change Frown

Am I doing something wrong? I just don't know what to do anymore. As far as I know, I should be able to put my game on the highest settings and still play fine. Is there anything else I could do?

If anyone can help me, thank you so much!

EDIT: I'm also having some issues when I make a sim do a task, sometimes my sims just stand there and don't do anything and the task gets cancelled. I think this is unrealeted to my performance issue but I don't know.

Have a look here
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/sims-4-incredibly-low-fps/td-p/7605094#
For today the only solution is to disconnecting the internet completely when you play,
Could you also please provide the info asked by @SimQARobo

I don't work for EA

@kreatora

Sorry for the late reply, I have looked at the thread and disconnected my WiFi when I played, however, I am still getting low FPS.

Could you please tell me what @SimQARobo said? I don't see any reply by them, I will be happy to give any info that is needed.

Thank you Standard smile

Which program do you use in the background that requires a connection to the Internet - that was the question.
However, since this solution didn't work for you, this question doesn't apply to you.

Could you do dxDiag on your computer?
To gather a DxDiag on your computer, please follow the steps here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Your graphics card drivers are a half year old. Look for and install newer versions for Nvidia card.

However, the basic problem is the system and software errors.
Use this tool to find and repair them.

You have a problem with the software of your wifi. Read these instructions in the link below and check if your wifi is working properly.
I think that these problems with the software of your wifi cause these problems in the game.
