How to move my documents folder to my external r drive

I need help on how to move my documents folder in sims I’ve tried soooooo many times to make a junktion file and idk how that works because when I make a junction file there is no mods folder on the external hard drive I am very new to the pc world so I’m a bigger and I hate that there is no YouTube tutorials on how to do this I also tried changing the destination location and it says that it can’t be moves and something about it being able to redirect please help me ur help is much appreciated since I’m new on pc thank u

i suggest the option in windows:
You’ll need to put quotation marks around paths with spaces. For example, if the folders are instead named C:\Link To Folder and C:\Users\Name\Original Folder, you’d use the following command instead:

mklink /J "C:\Link To Folder" "C:\Users\Name\Original Folder"

i would choose the hard link option.

move the documents or electronic arts (whatever you want) folder to the external disk. keep in mind the disk cannot change letters or else you will need to re-link it. this is the URL

Sorry but you can not move the Documents folder to an external drive only to another internal. drive. Windows simply wont allow it. The reason is that it can not be guaranteed that the external drive will be available at all times. It may be unplugged or the drive letter changed.
