How to fix laggy gameplay and loading screen

★★★ Novice

I've had the Sims 4 since December 2014. I play on a laptop. It is a Lenovo think pad that I got in November 2014.

My my gameplay and loading screens as well as the start up screen is very laggy and slow. I don't have any issues while using other programs on the laptop. I am playing on laptop mode and all of my game settings are on low. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing old/ unused save games and I have no mods or cc.

what else should I try?

thanks!

Could you post a DxDiag?
Please follow this how to on how to gather your DxDiag.
You can post the DxDiag by attaching it to your next reply.
Don't paste it directly into your answer, because that won't fit.

@roberta591 does this have to do with the Creators update as well?

@heyyitscourtney2  @Phantomlover1717 I don't think this is the Windows creators update issue. The dxdiag is for a subnotebook computer. The Lenovo has a AMD E1-2100 APU 1.0GHz which is way below the minimum requirement speed. The display driver is from 2013 which puts it way out of date. Even with updated video drivers I would expect performance issues due to the low cpu clock rate.
