How do i stop my sims actions?

When i turn the tv off, wanting trying to listen to music, his roommate comes in and turns it back on, so i turn it off, 3rd roomate later enters and also turns tv back on.It really gets frustrating, until i have no option but to sell the tv, just to listen to the music...just would like to know if there may be a mod where i can disable this dumb actions?

I dont want to turn off the autonomy, but just action?

Even though one Sim is Watching TV another Sim can still listen to the radio in the same room and even dance to the music.
