Did this by chance start right after the update to Origin 10 (the new Origin)?

You have a 64 bit operating system but, only 4 GB RAM so, should be launching the game in 32 bit mode so that it doesn't try to use more RAM than you have.

There was a graphical glitch in Origin that would state 32 bit launch but use the 64 bit launch.

Open Origin.

Click on the game tile.

Click on the Settings Cog below the game image in the panel that opens.

Click on Game Properties.

Click Advanced Launch Options at the top.

No matter what it says, change the drop down to the other option, should say 32 bit so change it to 64 bit.

Click save.

Close that panel

Repeat and set it to 32 bit.

Save

Close that panel

Try your game.

Just to test, I know it makes the game look terrible but, turn laptop mode on and see if that helps.

If it does lower some graphics settings and try until you get them as low as you can accept.
