How can my sim become an Amateur Magician

Recently I obtained the expansion pack 'Show Time'  I have seen performers in the parks but can not find any way to start of my sims as a non professional magician.  I have looked for 'teach yourself' books, and a starter pack but have found non.  I have tried looking in the Misc items in Debug.  Any suggestions?
