Households won't load after June 2019 update [ Edited ]

Ever since the June 18 2019 update I haven't been able to get into any of my households. The game loads and opens the world map but when I click on a household it will just stay loading forever and I have to close the game. I tried with a previous save but it still does the same thing. I use a PC and do have CC mods.  Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated!

Hi @CynCyn20 

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Thank you for the info! It turned out to be a broken mod. Thankfully a list was made of mods reported to be broken and after going through the list and removing a few I was finally able to get into my households and make a new save.

Hi there, i am having the same issue, and followed all the steps, the error was gone when i started a new game from scratch, but then i added saves and the issue was back, what should i do? thanks.

@PastyBunnyMeegs Did you add back anything to the mod folder ? Could be a borked save. Does it matter which save you try ?

I'm having this issue now and I don't know what mod mine is I deleted all my recent content from this month and it still isn't working
