Head of Family Achievement not flagging

I created a household with a wife and husband. Than I had them have kids. I wanted a girl cause I thought that’d be easiest because I didn’t know if adoption would work. So I had 2 sons and than finally a daughter. The daughter proceeded to have 32 children, one being adopted. When the achievement didn’t go off, I read this forum. I killed of the husband and moved everyone but the grandmother out. The achievement still didn’t go off until I had the grandmother adopt a kid. Than I finally got it. Pain in the butt and in no way explained enough but it worked so.
