@jaylalee90 You can try deleting the game's cache files. That will cause those little pictures to regenerate. If you haven't done that, they wouldn't change like the in-game characters.

Just create a batch file in your "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" folder and put this in it. Run it whenever you want to clear the game's cache:

del cache\*.cache /F /Q
del cachestr\*.* /F /Q
rd onlinethumbnailcache /S /Q

Hello' did you ever fix this I'm having the same problem

when i download a hair i like on sims 4 downloads, and add it to the sims 4 in mods, then the hair will be as the picture in the game when i editing my sim. but then i start the game when i am done with clothes and all that, and then the hair changes into stripes... why, i add meshes too

You need to contact the author of this particular piece of CC. We can not help you here as we have no knowledge of if it is even supposed to be compatible with the current patch level of the game.

Do you have a laptop or desktop ? Or does this work for both?

I have seen all of the solutions on here and none of them are working well for me! Turning laptop mode off worked for in game, but the bottom left profile still had those blonde streaks. Everything looks fine in CAS. I don’t know what to do as most of the solutions are outdated or not working!

@liajay54 Are you playing on a pc or mac? Are you using custom content (cc)?

I’m playing on a Dell laptop and yes I’m using CC.

@liajay54  usually problems like this are caused by cc or cc in conflict. Have you tried removing the cc and trying the game?
