@dadnwpg09 Please try all of the following, in order; if step one doesn't help, try one and two together, then one, two, and three together, etc.:
- Disable your antivirus completely, at least long enough to test
- Disable Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top
- Run Origin as an admin: right-click and select "Run as administrator"
- Run TS4_x64.exe (or TS4.exe for the Legacy Edition) as an admin
- Run Origin as an admin and repair the game: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair
- Move your entire Sims 4 user folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts
- Force the game to start in windowed mode: open your Origin library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch options, add a -w (with the hyphen) to the command line argument box, and save
- Try playing in a clean boot
- Create a new admin Windows account and try to play in that
If none of this helps, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

I don't work for EA. I'm just trying to help fellow players with their games.
