Game is unreliable.

I've recently been having a problem, Sims 4 has been acting weird.

The first issue is the game does not 'proceed' unless i spam the windows key.

the second and most irritating is that to complete one action i have to hover my mouse over the spot i want to click on and press the windows key while at the same time clicking on the spot and hoping it registers.

It isn't my PC

i have an AMD FX 4170 3,7GHz turbo to 4.2GHz

12GB of DDR3 ram

an AMD R9 380 4GB graphics card

And I've even run inbuild error checker and both drives are peachy.

Pressing the Windows key is counter productive as it takes focus from the game.
