Game freezing, unable to click on objects or switch sims, etc.

I literally played yesterday with no issues, and am having all kinds of issues this morning. First I couldn't switch to play a different sim in my household. Shut game down and restarted. Then couldn't click on anything. Tried to exit game, and it froze while shutting down. Task manager wouldn't work, couldn't get to my home screen. Had to force a restart on my computer. Repaired all the game files. All seemed well for a minute or so. Then my game froze. My sims kind of swayed in place, would not do anything else, and the game clock froze. Once again had to force a restart of my computer to get it to close.
