Game failed to load, please help.

Hi. I entered my gameplay and a message popped up, "The game failed to load.  Error Code: 140:645fba83:228eaf9b. It is recommended that you relaunch the game.

And I did relaunch the game, a few time, I also repaired it twice and I got rid of my broken mods. It didn't change anything and the game still shows me that message, I forgot to mention that the actual game has problems, it doesn't show the care bars and you cant click on anything.

Please if someone knows how to fix it I would love to receive help.

After each update, most scripts mods and a large part CC will be spoiled and will spoil the game. Checking what broke down this time after the patch, and replacing these broken ones by a new updated version or deleting these is the price the player pays for using CC and mods. Removing mods isn't enough
Move the mods folder to the desktop.
Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game, also delete all folders with the word "cache" in the name - important!
Fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if a game is working now without mods and CC.
Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if the game is OK. You can start with UI Cheats Extension mod because it will always be broken after the patch
Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)

You need to find culprits and either remove them or replace it with updated versions.

If you don't have mods delete this file and folders and fix the game also

About  "I can't click on something"  - if it is Main Menu or CAS change the resolution setting in the game options. Try different - the highest first.

I was experiencing this in the beginning. Be sure when you replace mods that you delete the old ones instead of replacing them (overwriting). Also, what I found was my biggest problem was the UI extensions cheat mod by weerbesu. Get that updated stat, everything else should come back to normal after. 

As for the error code, I’ve been getting it since the patch on Sept 5th, I’ve gotten it with and without my mods active in the game. My guess is that it’s a big from the update or something (I’ve also uninstall and reinstalled origin, repaired my game several times). 

The game will play and save like normal, but everytime you travel you will get that error code. As far as I know it doesn’t affect anything. I’ve been playing just fine the last 3 days.

I’m having the same problems/: deleted everything including saves and still not working. Repaired my game twice and updated every big mod in my game while deleting old ones.. don’t wanna get rid of any cc tbh I hope that’s not the issue

I have the same problem. It's only way I can make it work, is to remove ALL my mods and cc. I really don't want to do that, because I really like playing with them - and yes, all of them I can update, I have updated. However it shouldn't really be a problem. When I install "Island Living", mostly all the mods worked fine after that (to my big surprise). But they doesn't do it now.

I really really they fix it, and very soon. please! It's so frustrated, when there is problems with the game.

I really hope your game has gotten fixed by now! My error was caused by corrupt mods, which i found with a combination of mc command center by deaderpool and better exceptions by twistedmexi! It gives you full reports of what is causing last exceptions shown to you by mccc, including what is doing it! after i deleted the things causing it (which was traits and aspirations that had become corrupt) my game was fine! I hope this can help you if you're still struggling, or at the very least, help someone else having the same problem!
