Game Crash after Creating a Sim

After I press the check to add my sim(s) to household and start a new game, the game closes out and takes me to the origin client. Whenever I reopen sims, the game isn’t there under my loaded games

@frenchiefry29  Does your computer run Windows or macOS?  Please try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

Okay, I’ll try that! Thank you so much. Should I remove my mods folder beforehand or is it okay to stay?

@frenchiefry29  You can try leaving it first.  If the issue doesn't go away, remove the Mods folder and delete localthumbcache.package, and try again.
