I read a sort of solution, can you try this?
You can start Origin, then pop in the disc, close the autorun popup and choose "download" to install from disc if the code has been entered into Origin manually.
So as far as I can tell, some folks are putting the code in Origin then starting the download, then inserting the disc. The disc starts its autorun program but stalls at this and sits idle while Origin downloads the game.
Unfortunately I don't have a disc drive on my home machine so I can't verify/test, but this should be the normal setup.
