Flickering Screen in Sims 3

I don't play Sims 3 very often anymore, but when I went to my game today, the screen is flickering. I restarted the game, repaired and updated it. I also restarted my computer, but it's still flickering. Any idea what the issue could be?

@kolson2  A little more information is needed to even start guessing. Is your computer a pc or mac? Did the game ever work right? When was the last time you tried the game?

A flickering problem indicates a graphics issue.

1. Have you updated your graphics drivers recently? If not, then do that and see what happens.

2. What happens if you lower the graphics settings? Do you still experience the problem?

I had this same problem! I unchecked the 'enable Fullscreen Mode' & flickering was GONE.... worth a shot.
