@lovelightsG me too! I had to go into my settings and disable mods (even though i'd already removed the mods folder) and that seems to have fixed it.

@crinrict  So I did a couple of quick tests, here are my results:

Speakers, 7.1 off = Crackles

Speakers, 7.1 on = Works

Headphones, 7.1 on = Works

Switching to a different audio device, still using the same soundcard but not linked to the 7.1 system works over speakers as well without the 7.1 system on.

Odd that it doesn't work with the 7.1 system turned off, it worked perfectly fine like that before the patch. Other games also have no issue with this, so I still think there is a problem. At least I now have a workaround so I can play, thanks.

@crinrict  A little update on my issue. All options running over the Razor 7.1 Surround system do cause crackles, just not always. Headphones, speakers, 7.1 on or off does not matter, in the earlier tests I tried them just once quickly. Selecting the more direct sound device (i.e. the actual soundcard) runs fine every time. This makes me there may be a conflict with the Razor sound driver and the Sims 4.

@crinrict Mine won't quit crashing. I do have mods and Cc how do I know if it's that or the update? Does anyone know how I figure out which Mod or do I have to delete everything I downloaded from gallery?

The game freezes if I allow the RAM leak to continue. And it won't pause. It does not crash. It freezes my PC. (I now realize I kept saying crash, but 6 of one . . .)

YES to save game bloating. Good golly!

I took out what few bits of CC I use after the first freeze and banshee scream.
The only crashlog I have is from 11/1, but I'll include it.

@deadredmore513 Copy your mods to another folder (on your desktop?) then delete your mods in your mods folder. If it still crashes after that, it's not your mods.
